Commercial Garbage Cans and Dumpsters

We offer 65 gallon and 95 gallon totes for the use at businesses. We also
have 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4 and 6 cubic yard dumpsters. Due to overhead hazards, front
loaders (some 1-2 yards, all 3-6 yard dumpsters) are for commercial use and
cannot be placed in residential areas without prior approval. This typically
does not apply to apartment complexes. Residential areas can only have 1, 1.5
or 2 cubic yard dumpsters due to restrictions to the trucks that empty the
larger dumpsters. Below is some information that may be helpful in deciding
what kind of service you need:
• Dumpsters (1-6 yards) are for large amounts of garbage. There can
be NO hot ash, petroleum products, insecticides, hazardous waste, car batteries,
engine parts, construction debris, roofing materials, concrete, or refrigerator/freezers
(other appliances are alright) in the containers.
• Garbage totes can be picked up once a week or every other week. The
rate is based on the size of the tote and frequency of pick up. Customers may
order more than one tote if needed, the rate is multiplied by the number of
totes.
• Customers are charged for extra items above the rim or next to the
container. One extra is equal to a 32 gallon bag, box, or can. There is an
additional charge for appliances. To ensure you don’t get charged for
extra make sure the lid on the container is completely closed and nothing is
placed next to the container.
• Dumpsters should
be accessible by 5:30
a.m. If dumpsters are inaccessible,
due to the customer’s error, we can take the equivalent of their service
at no charge on the following scheduled pick up day or the customer may request
the driver to return for a fee. A same day return is charged as a return trip
and pickup on a later day is charged as a special pickup.
• Place your garbage tote out by 6:00
a.m. on your scheduled pick up
day. Put cans within 5' of the curb with lid opening toward the street. Drivers
do have to change their routes and can have helpers which will change the time
you are picked up. There is an additional fee to have the driver return.
• If a dumpster is inaccessible due to conditions beyond the company
or customer’s control, such as weather or road closures, the driver will
take extra, equal to the customer’s service at no additional charge,
on the following pickup day. Schools and restaurants are typically picked on
the next earliest business day.
• Service is delayed one day for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year,
if the holiday falls Monday through Friday. The drivers work all other holidays.
• A lock and chain can be placed on all dumpsters for an additional
fee.
• Customer must provide a 12 foot wide by 14 foot high clearance for
drivers to access dumpsters. They must also provide a minimum 3 foot clearance
on all sides of the container.
• Customers are responsible for keeping private roads in good condition
with no large potholes or hazards.
• Gates must be open by the beginning of collection day unless the
customer is paying a gate access fee.
• Dumpsters must be unlocked by the beginning of collection day unless
the customer has our lock, or provides the driver with a key for their lock.
Permanent vs. Temporary
Any container kept for a minimum of one month and placed on a regular weekly
pickup schedule is considered permanent and is charged a flat rate per month.
Rates will very according to size and number of weekly pick ups. Off day pick
ups can be ordered, there is an additional charge for these special pick ups.
Temporary dumpsters can be kept 2 to 90 days and are on call rather than on
schedule. Instead of being charge a flat rate per month, temporary container
customers are charged a delivery fee, a fee each time the container is emptied,
a cleaning fee, and a daily rental fees.
