Special pickups are designed when a customer has more material than can reasonably be handled by the regular route driver.

• All special pickups bill both the driver’s time, and the cost of dumping the materials at the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center.
  
• The driver’s time is billed with a minimum of one hour. After the first hour, we bill in fifteen minute increments. The time charges are calculated from the time the driver leaves our yard at 2910 Hogum Bay Rd NE, Lacey, WA, until he returns to the same yard. Depending on the type of material, weight, and volume we may require that two employees do the job together. The charge for a truck with one driver is $51.00 per hour. The charge for each additional person is $26.00 per hour.
  
• We haul all refuse material to the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center located at 2418 Hogum Bay Rd NE, Lacey, WA. Trash is dumped at a cost of $76.00 per ton. Yard waste is dumped at a cost of $30.00 per ton. Trash and yard waste cannot be mixed; if you have both and want the lower rate it must be hauled in separate trips. If you need us to haul yard waste for the lower rate, you must let us know when you schedule the pickup.
  
• ll materials must be at the curbside unless the customer makes special arrangements at the time the pickup is scheduled. If a driver must enter the residence, two people are required (see rates above). We do not perform property clean up duties. All items for pickup must be ready to haul when we arrive. Loose materials must be boxed or bagged.
  We require a detailed listing of the materials we will need to haul.
  
• It may be less expensive for you to order either a drop box or a temporary dumpster.
  
• We do not take hazardous materials, or anything that is contaminated with hazardous materials. This includes asbestos.
  
• We provide special pickups only if we have available personnel and can reach an agreement on the pickup time and date. We prefer that the customer be present during the pickup.
